Oct. 15, 2006 8:41 am: We just got power back at 5:45 this am. i knew it because i think every light in the house came on... radios..... lost power at about 10 pm thurs nite. 2 transformers went down on my cross street.. it looked like the aliens were coming.. they were on fire burning red, green and yellow... never lost the phone.. i'm in west seneca... by club styr.... i was lucky .. got hold of a generator . small one but i could run, freezer, fridge and turn on the furnace long enoyugh to warm up house. it looks like somebody dropped a huge bomb in the area. i heard they think they lost 50% of the trees. thats sad. i'm soooo tired of flashlights and candles...ahhhh... electric is sweeeeet.

- Sun. Oct. 15, 2006 9:37 am: Ours came back on at about 11:30am Sat. after going out at about 10pm on Thurs. in NT. I was outside cleaning up the thousands of branches and limbs in my flooded backyard. I almost cried when I heard the gush of the sump pump adding more water to the yard. I have to say, this was a total bitch. I'm exhausted from lack of sleep, hand cutting and hauling huge limbs from the backyard to the front. Had to keep getting up every couple of hours to bail water out the basement. Making plans to cut down every tree on my property in the spring. Need a new roof on the house and was disappointed I couldn't get one of those monsters to fall on it so Allstate could pick up the tab.

- Sun. Oct. 15, 2006 9:41 am: Kenmore is still out.

- Sun. Oct. 15, 2006 10:24 am: Some of Lancaster just got cable back. Looks like the village is still without power, along with a grid on the border of clarence.

- Sun. Oct. 15, 2006 11:57 am: my block in allentown (franklin and virginia) never lost power or cable for that matter. my poor girlfriend though is gonna have to wait until NiMo or whoever comes along and put wires to her house back on a pole that is not bent at a 45 degree angle. thankfully they did not get ripped off the house.
