First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Socialist. Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out — Because I was not a Trade Unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

General Discussions / Be Careful Who You Vote For

For those still in doubt in the upcoming USA elections:

http://unclegadget.com/media/TrumpTowers.mp4

The odd thing though, is how many Republicans are ganging up against this guy now. There were plenty of good, great Republicans running for the nomination in the primaries. Why didn't they vote for one of the good guys back then? Didn't they do their research before they dropped their vote? Sorry you publicans picked an insane madman to represent your party, but you can't take back your vote because you were dumber than he was. He fooled you! Didn't you know that's what a lot of politicians do? Used car salesmen must have a lot of fun with you.

Never have blind faith in a politician & believe everything they say. Do your own research, & fact check before you vote or help their campaign.

Paranormal, Aliens, & UFOs / George Bush Sr. & UFOs
« on: August 10, 2016, 08:46:20 pm »
George Bush Sr., the former President of the United States, was busy campaigning for his son Jeb Bush’s presidential candidature, when Jeb was organizing a fundraiser in Orlando.

During the fundraiser, a man in the crowd raised a strange question which led to an even more surprising response by the former president and CIA director. An activist/journalist asked Bush when the US government is going to reveal the truth about UFO’s to the Americans.

George Sr. responded by saying, “Americans can’t handle the truth”. The crowd and reporters were stunned into silence with this answer. They were taken completely by surprise. Everyone in the large crowd was clearly feeling uneasy with Bush’s answer. Organizers of the event even had to briefly halt the questioning.

Interestingly, this is not the first time George Bush Sr. has expressed a controversial opinion on the subject of UFOs.

During the 1988 presidential campaign, James Adder, journalist for the Arkansas Globe asked him about the existence of UFOs, to which Bush replied, “I know some. I know a fair amount”. The interview was cut short at this time. Then in another debate with Dukakis, he said, “I am very careful in public life about dealing with classified information”.

George Bush Sr. was the US Vice President at that time and had access to classified information.

Of all the Presidents that have been faced with the UFO problem, George Bush is probably the best qualified to have been given the secret. He spent a year as Director of Central Intelligence, the head of the entire United States Intelligence Community for President Ford. Then as DCI, he was in charge of giving intelligence briefings to Jimmy Carter during his transition to the Presidency in 1976.

Paranormal, Aliens, & UFOs / Kennedy, the CIA, & Aliens.
« on: August 10, 2016, 07:43:10 pm »
John F. Kennedy was assassinated because he was on the verge of telling the public the truth about UFOs, & he threatened to break up the CIA.

Dated 12 November, 1963, just ten days before he would be gunned down in the streets of Dallas, Texas, Kennedy informed James Jesus Angleton (Chief of the CIA's Counterintelligence Staff) that we was setting things in motion to actually share sensitive CIA UFO intelligence data with the Russians through the director of NASA.

This request was made on the same day he requested James E. Webb to begin Kennedy's peace overture to the Russians via joint space exploration.

Webb, being a board member of the intelligence community most likely interpreted Kennedy's program to mean the sharing of classified UFO data under which the current directive forbid.

In Kennedy's top secret memorandum he outlined for Angleton specific items he wished to have disclosed to Webb, such as "[to] have the high threat cases reviewed with the purpose of identification of bona fide as opposed to the classified CIA and USAF sources."And, "that we make a clear distinction between the known and unknowns in the event the Soviets try to mistake our extended cooperation as a cover for intelligence gathering of their defense and space programs."Finally, Kennedy wanted Angleton to "arrange a program of data sharing with NASA mission directors in their defensive responsibilities." This was unprecedented and totally unacceptable to Angleton and the CIA!

Here Kennedy was requesting the Central Intelligence Agency, the agency he swore he would "break into a thousand pieces" to just hand over the most guarded secret-ever!

This memo was passed on to William Colby who indicated to someone in Angleton's staff in a hand written note that says, "Response from Colby, Angleton has MJ directive" and is dated November 20, 1963, just two days before Kennedy dies. It seems that Kennedy's request bounced around from Angleton's desk possibly seeking consensus on the request or passing the buck back to Angleton.

In either case, it was a hot potato for which Angleton had to deal with. It is also significant that Kennedy's NSAM No. 271 was the last coming from Kennedy's desk just before he left Washington for Dallas. What the real significance is was buried somewhere within the CIA and Angleton spent many a day trying to figure out who ordered Kennedy's execution.

Was Angleton set up, or did he unintentionally supply the needed ingredient for the murder of the century? In either case, the secret remained safe.
One of the few former CIA officers to speak publicly on the Kennedy assassination and the UFO secret is Victor Marchetti, who at one time was Assistant to the Deputy for Plans and Operations under DCI William
Colby.

In a rare interview with Second Look magazine in 1979, Marchetti, author of the sensational book Cult of Intelligence which was vetted and censored by the CIA prior to publication (the only book to include the
redacted portions within the text), made some interesting observations regarding the CIA's UFO intelligence gathering program and why the subject is not open for discussion.

In a introduction piece for his web site Robert Collins, a retired air force intelligence officer produced an insightful forward for Marchetti in which Marchetti said: "My theory is that we have, indeed, been contacted-perhaps even visited-by extraterrestrial beings, and that the U.S. Government, in collusion with other national powers of the Earth, is determined to keep this information from the general public." Marchetti alluded to "rumors" at the highest levels within the CIA that the NSA has information as well and must be kept away from public viewing.

We know now that the NSA does have sensitive COMINT files ,that, for reasons of national security cannot disclose. One of these NSA files that Marchetti speaks of might be the NSA intercept of Kennedy's phone conversation with Khrushchev dated 12 November, 1963, in which Kennedy spoke of a "situation that affects both our countries and the world," and "a problem that we share in common."

It is believed that the UFO problem became a national security item when President Truman authorized the covert establishment of the National Security Agency whose primary responsibility bordered on "special activities" perhaps as outlined in an alleged Intelligence Estimate prepared by national security officials on 30 September, 1947, in which one of the concerns stated that "what we are up against is controlled by intelligent operators" and that "these objects are real and not illusionary."

It is not surprising that in 1968, a NSA employee drafted a significant analysis of the intelligence community's ambivalence toward the UFO camouflage and warned of dire consequences unless the defense establishment wakes up and recognizes the danger these phenomena pose in the nuclear age.

Paranormal, Aliens, & UFOs / President Regan's first UFO briefing
« on: August 10, 2016, 06:23:14 pm »
Agent 1: Good morning, Mr President. First of all, I would like to give you a bit of information on my background. But before that, please, Mr President, if you have questions during this briefing, just interrupt me, sir. I have been employed by the CIA for the past 31 years. I started the caretaking status of this project in 1960. We have a special group of people whom we call "Group 6," that cares for all this information.

PRESIDENT: Good morning, I hope, well, I believe I will ask questions. Bill briefed me back in January, but I'm not sure ... huh ... well, was it detailed, no, I don't think so ... huh ... OK, well I'm sure Bill didn't tell me all 'cause we only had about one hour.

WM CASEY: Mr President, I only gave you a quick briefing for the NSDD (National Security Decision Directives) that we want to incorporate into the overall action directives about this subject. ADVISER #3, Caspar and I have details far beyond what I knew before January. The last administration wasn't too keen on making all of this stuff accessible to us during the briefings in November and December.

PRESIDENT: Well, I knew a little about this subject before. Back in 1970. Nixon had all of the good stuff and wanted to share it with some of his friends. Nixon showed me some papers. Not sure about who authored them, but they ... huh ... well something about New Mexico and other places. Nixon was pretty ... huh ... well, you know, fascinated with it. He showed me something, some kind of object or device that came from one of their craft. Something that was taken from the New Mexico crash site. I don't know if, well ... huh ... do we know what it was? I don't think we knew or maybe now, after 11 years, we might know.

Agent 1: Mr President, I can answer some of those questions. Do you wish for me to begin?

PRESIDENT: Oh, well, what level is this? I mean, what was it called? I don't remember what they called this.

WM CASEY: Mr President, codeword. It's called Top Secret Codeword. This information is beyond Top Secret as I said before. It has its own classification. It is very compartmentalized.

PRESIDENT: Well, I guess just the minimum. Are we recording this?

Agent 1: Mr President, no, unless you wish.

WM CASEY: Yes, it is [CIA FEMALE TRANSCRIBER] who is doing that. I think we should. I don't want to make any mistakes later about this. ADVISER #4 should also stay, since he is one of the caretakers of the information.

PRESIDENT: Well, I don't want anyone leaking this stuff. Not knowing what we are about to discuss ... huh ... oh, well, Bill I guess it is your call. ADVISER #4 should stay. I guess he should ... huh ... oh, OK, well, you make the call, Bill.

WM CASEY: OK, I guess ADVISER #4 will stay. But I think [CIA FEMALE TRANSCRIBER] must stay. I'll make that call.

PRESIDENT: OK, I guess we can do our business first, give me a few minutes. Let's get some food first, or snacks. How long will ... huh .... oh, about one hour?

Agent 1: Mr President, I estimate this will last about one hour, at least the first part of it. This is a very complicated subject to brief. I can do it, but maybe the questions will extend [beyond the first] the time period.

PRESIDENT: OK, I see. Let's take a break and then reconvene.

(Break)

Agent 1: OK, Mr President, are we ready?

PRESIDENT: Yes, we are, let's go.

Agent 1: Mr President, as was mentioned earlier, I must say, that this briefing has the highest classification within the U.S. government. I will start with a slide presentation. I have most of this briefing on the slides, but I also have an outline that I have passed out to each [person] in attendance.

PRESIDENT: Oh, OK, so are we ... can we follow it with the [outline] paper?

Agent 1: Yes, Mr President, you can follow the briefing with the outline in front of you.

PRESIDENT: Thank you.

A new study in the latest edition of BMJ suggests most medical errors go unobserved, at least in the official record.

The study, from doctors at Johns Hopkins, suggests medical errors may kill more people than lower respiratory diseases like emphysema and bronchitis do. That would make these medical mistakes the third leading cause of death in the United States. That would place medical errors right behind heart disease and cancer.
Through their analysis of four other studies examining death rate information, the doctors estimate there are at least 251,454 deaths due to medical errors annually in the United States. The authors believe the number is actually much higher, as home and nursing home deaths are not counted in that total.

Dr. Martin Makary and Dr. Michael Daniel, who did the study, hope their analysis will lead to real reform in a health care system they argue is letting patients down.
"We have to make an improvement in patient safety a real priority," said Makary, a professor of surgery and health policy and management at Johns Hopkins.

"Billing codes are designed to maximize billing rather than capture medical errors," Makary said.
The study gives an example of exactly how limited the death certificates are when it comes to recording medical errors. One example involved a patient who had a successful organ transplant and seemed healthy, but had to go back to the hospital for a non-specific complaint. During tests to determine what was wrong, a doctor accidentally cut her liver and hadn't realized it. The hospital sent her home, but she returned with internal bleeding and went into cardiac arrest and later died. It was the cut that led to her death, but her death certificate only listed a cardiovascular issue as the cause.

Makary believes there should be a space on the certificate that asks if the death is related to a medical error. If the answer is yes, Makary suggests the doctor should have some legal protection so the certificate is not something that could be used in a lawsuit. "I don't believe we have diabolic leaders in health care," Makary said. He believes instead that there could be better systems put in place at hospitals to make them safer.
