Check out the object at the right. Is that some sort of Martian digging machinery or mining equipment? Note the shadow it casts clearly showing the front of it is lifted high off the ground.
Scientists that work for the government first claimed these where lava tubes... But lava tubes don't have ribs. So then they claimed it was an optical illusion, that they're really concave canyons with ridges. But stereo views & views from other angles knock down that misinformation. Why do they keep changing their story? These are incredible & they want to sweep it under the carpet. What are they hiding? Are they pipelines, subways, habitats, worms or roots miles long?
There's closer views of these here. Taken from the polar ice caps, they look like some sort of Martian trees! They cast a long shadow.
Plants growing in ice in craters!
A forest of wispy tall growths growing out of ice on Mars. They cast a shadow. At first I thought these may be geysers of gases escaping from beneath the ice. With high, swirling winds at the poles of Mars, they wouldn't shoot straight up. but air on Mars is very thin... even a wispy thin tree would stand straight in the wind.
Here's another view of the many tubes on Mars. Look closely slightly to the right of the pic. There's a light glowing inside!
More Martian tubes or tunnels. If they're lava tubes, they simply wouldn't get that shiny, polished, & smooth. Also in the close-ups, you see veins in these tubes & almost make out some ribs. There's noting unusual about veins in lava flows, but they should go in the direction of the flow. These go across the width of the tubes instead of the direction of the tubes.
To the right & below, are these older, more eroded tunnels, or are they different kinds of tubes entirely?
